Notes & Reviews:

The English choral tradition isnt just unique, its vital. It allows the rest of us to understand and express faith and feelings in a way that nothing else can, not even words. The cathedral choirs of England are precious, passionate - and platonic, and thus valuable and comprehensible in their message to every human on the planet - Joanna Trollope. Light of the world is sung by one of Signums newest and freshest choirs, Tewkesbury Abbey School Choir, conducted by Benjamin Nicholas. Firmly rooted in the English choral tradition, the choir has chosen for this recording the music of Rutter, Handel, Mozart, Burgon and some lesser known, but equally beautiful repertoire in the spirit of Parry, Wesley and Mawby, who are also featured on this disc.
