Notes & Reviews:

The organs in the Philippines are the result of the Spanish colonization, which began in 1565. The typical Filipino organ is built in the Iberian manner and its features can be found all over Spain and Portugal as well as throughout Latin America. Organist Guy Bovet begins this series dedicated to the organs of this country with four releases: one from the San Agustin Church in Manila; one a bamboo organ at St. Joseph's Parish Church; one an organ built in 1894 by the famous Spanish company, Casa Roques Hermanos of Zaragoza; and organs found on the island of Bohol.
