To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the Seitakuoro Chamber Choir has recorded the best of the works of composers from Lapland, compositions made in Lapland and other works that highlight Lapland.

Music from, of all places, Lapland, though it's not a "Folk Songs from the Frozen North" affair by any stretch of the imagination. True, ethnic connections abound: 'My Reindeer', 'Birth of the Northern Lights', and 'Lappish Girl's Song' are among the selections. But most of the music is contemporary and cosmopolitan in affect and tone.
