Harry Wakefield Bramma was born in 1936 and studied at Pembroke College, Oxford. He took his Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists in 1958, winning the Harding Prize. He served as director of the Royal School of Church Music. His contribution to church music in the U.K. is considerable.
