Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, July/August 2013
This is the second volume in a projected recording of all the organ symphonies by Charles- Marie Widor. It is a common observation that the Widor organ symphonies, and especially the four early symphonies of Opus 13, might be better described as suites of character pieces for the organ. Widor continued to revise and modify them after their initial publication in 1872. Five Paris editions of Opus 13 were issued between then and 1929. The composer acknowledged in his preface to the second edition of 1887. The recorded sound here leaves much to be desired. Some listeners may like this objective approach.

International Record Review, May 2013
[a] gifted player.

Organists Review, June 2013
Nolan is an utterly persuasive executants at the console. Thoroughly enjoyable.
