Album Summary
Performer
Davide Cabassi (Piano)
Notes & Reviews:
Piano transcriptions of orchestral works were long regarded as an insignificant genre, but ambitious transcriptions were actually works of art in their own right. Proof of the high artistic standard of the transcriptions recorded here is supplied by the fact that the composers of the original works arranged them. 2005 Cliburn Competition finalist Davide Cabassi made his orchestral debut at the age of thirteen with the RAI Symphony Orchestra in Milan. His Carnegie Hall debut took place in January 2006.
