Album Summary
Performer
Felicja Blumental (Piano)
Notes & Reviews:
Brana Records' focus is the life and work of the Polish/Brazilian pianist Felicja Blumental who overcame prejudice to scale the heights of her chosen profession. A champion of the piano music of the early 19th Century outside that of the regular repertory, she recorded concertos by lesser known composers such as Czerny, Hummel and Ries as well as acclaimed recordings of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin. It is these wonderful recordings that Brana Records is restoring and releasing to create a lasting record of this wonderfully talented pianist. Here she performs works by Grieg, Faure, Liszt and Bussoni.
