Notes & Reviews:

Throughout her career Martha Argerich has nurtured and promoted rising stars of the classical music world. Through her continued work with the Lugano Festival, Ms. Argerich creates many rich chamber music partnerships always discovering new and exciting performer combinations. This new 3-CD set features performances from the 2005 Festival which welcomes back some familiar artists from the two previous releases, as well as giving a platform to two pianists known from their recordings on Virgin Classics: Nicholas Angelich and Piotr Anderszewski.

Financial Times
At a time when new music is more and more marginalised, modernity is expressed through the interpretation of past works by inspired performers. Lugano is a vibrant tribute to the concept.
