Notes & Reviews:
Here is a collection of diverse works by composers and performers with close ties. Robert Cogan, a writer, composer and teacher whose acclaimed books include 'Sonic Design' (co-authored with Pozzi Escot), is represented by the striking song cycle named after the first word in the text. Pozzi Escot, a graduate of Juilliard, was cited as one of the five outstanding women composers of the 20th century when her 'Fifth Symphony' was played by the New York Philharmonic in 1975. Her 'Violin Concerto' revisits the language and visions of Charles Ives.
