Virgin Classics is delighted to offer a new recording of Pergolesi's much loved 'Stabat Mater,' and the cast, featuring David Daniels, the emerging Dorothea Roschmann, and the glorious baroque ensemble Europa Galante under the direction of Fabio Biondi. In addition, this album includes two of Pergolesi's settings of the 'Salve Regina,' one for countertenor (Mr. Daniels), the other for soprano (Ms. Roschmann).
