A dynamic and versatile artist, violist Sheila Browne has appeared in many of the world's major halls as a soloist, chamber musician, and as principal of several orchestras. The only viola solo finalist in the 2004 Pro Musicis International Awards, she has also been a prizewinner as a member of the Arianna and Gotham string quartets. A proponent of new music, she has had several works written for her, including a concerto by Kenneth Jacobs.
