Sylvia parker is Senior Lecturer of Music at the University of Vermont, where she teaches piano and music theory. She earned a B.M. degree from the University of Michigan and a M.M. from the University of Colorado. Her principal teachers include Benning Dexter, David Burge, Storm Bull, George Walker and Nicholas Zumbro in piano; Eugene Bossart in chamber music and accompanying; and Wallace Berry, Leslie Batstone, Steven Bruns, Keith Waters and Gerald Zaritsky in music theory.
