This CD is special in more ways than one. This is a co-production between Nosag and the Swedish relief organization Lutherhjalpen where proceeds from sales will go to ending world hunger. This is also a display for the talented principal flutists of the Stockholm Philharmonic and the Royal Opera Orchestra of Stockholm, Stig Bengtson, Bengt Christiansson and Eje Kaufeldt, accompanied by other talented flute soloists from Sweden, all recorded in the warm acoustics of the Maria Magdalena Church in Stockholm, Sweden. Needless to say, this disc will have great appeal for flute players and flute instructors. In this arrangement, the Bach Ricercar a 6 takes on a particularly ethereal quality!
