Angel Arteaga (1928-1984) is remembered as one of Europe's finest composers of film scores, but he also wrote a body of more serious concert music, selections from which Verso brings to light in this important release.

Despite having pursued a brilliant creative and artistic career, Ángel Arteaga has not been sufficiently valued, studied and published. Perhaps for that reason, this recording is especially important, because the 8 works recorded here for the first time ever offer a broad vision of the great musical inspiration of the composer.
