Notes & Reviews:

Gudrun Hinze studied flute with Hans-Jurgen Mohring and piccolo with Kurt Nitschke at the Schumann Conservatorium in Dusseldorf. After positions with both the WDR Symphony and the MDR Symphony, she has been Principal Piccolo with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra since 1993. Since 1999 she has been Principal Piccolo with the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra and is a founding member of the Leipzig flute ensemble Quintesssenz
