Born in Tasmania, Elizabeth Whitehouse studied at the Sydney Conservatorium. She furthered her studies in Vienna and began her professional career in Darmstadt. She has appeared at many international festivals including the Edinburgh Festival and the Bregenz Festival. In addition to her many opera engagements she is also much in demand for concerts having done Gurrelieder and the Mahler 2nd and 8th Symphonies.
