Remarks:
This is another important re-release by Priory from the renowned audiophile Michael Woodward organ label from the 1980s; previously available as LP MW920. Commissioned by the City Fathers of Liverpool to build an organ for their new hall, Samuel Sebastian Wesley, in collaboration with W.T. Best and the builder Henry Willis, designed an organ which, when completed in 1855, was the most advanced in the world, a prototype in every respect for the modern organ. Renovations were made by Henry Willis III in 1931.Reviews
