Lasso: Prophetiae Sibyllarum, etc / Testolin, De Labyrintho

Notes & Reviews:

De Labyrintho is one of Italy's outstanding Early Music ensembles, and their recordings have been greeted with wide acclaim. Orlando di Lasso was one of the leading Renaissance composers. Along with Palestrina, he dominated his era, and was the last great composer of the Flemish School. The Prophetiæ Sibyllarum ("Prophecies of the Sibyl") are among Lasso's most adventurously chromatic compositions, and apparently date to early in his life.
