Notes & Reviews:

Contemporary Italian composer Nicola Sani produced this work for the Acoustic Art Studio of West German Radio. The four movements represent the traditional four elements of ancient Greek philosophy: fire, water, earth, and air. Sani features the most ancient instrument that produces sound through breath-the flute, in several varieties.
