Notes & Reviews:

A basso with exceptional timbre, Frederiksen has done his homework and is now able to revive a whole host of folk ballads that are at the root of Anglo-American musical tradition. This enterprising American polymath accompanies himself on the lute and directs a merry band of fellow music-makers.

International Record Review
he lion's share of the singing goes to Frederiksen, whose rich, clear bass seems capable of an almost infinite degree of tonal shading. His diction is impeccable, as is his taste
