Notes & Reviews:

Giuseppe Borgatti was Italy's first great Wagnerian tenor. His first Wagnerian opera was Lohengrin, when he appeared at the production in Milan in 1894. He was later a favorite of Toscanini for Wagnerian roles. Isidoro Fagoaga, born in Spain and educated in Argentina, was considered a successor to Borgatti.
