Notes & Reviews:

The range of virtuoso piano music recorded by the Danhel-Kolb Duo on their GENUIN debut CD extends from old master Dvorák to the 1980s. The magnificent Slavonic Dances influenced by Brahms bounce past us full of resilience, followed by the romantic sweep of a Sonata by Zdenek Fibich; the Imperial bliss of polkas and waltzes is interrupted with biting humor in Erwin Schulhoff's Ironies. Finally, a world premiere recording: Ilja Hurník's elegantly brilliant and rhythmically gripping Variations on a Theme of Pergolesi.

Good sound and excellent booklet notes complete a very enjoyable release.
