Notes & Reviews:

Winner of the Windsor Festival International String Competition, the highest profile gateway to string players the UK has to offer, 23-year-old Yuki Ito shows promise beyond his years and "certainly has the long-range musical taste and intelligence that make all the difference in a lifetime's career." - The Art Desk

American Record Guide, March / April 2013
Yuko Ito is a 23-year-old Japanese cellist who plays with notable maturity and taste. He blends beautifully with the also talented Sofya Gulak in this program of all of Rachmaninoff's cello pieces and then some. his tone blending so well with the piano as to be richly satisfying in its phrasing and poise. There have been a surprising number of releases of Rachmaninoff's cello music. Yes, the fascination for me was partly that Ito is from Tokyo and Qin is from Shanghai, both "Orientals". The real point is that both are fine players playing all-Rachmaninoff programs. Ito and Gulak are more smoothly recorded and well worth hearing.
