Notes & Reviews:
Sunday Times, 8th July 2013
These dazzling reissued period-instrument performances are a shock. So much has changed...Bach at his best...is wonderful however he is played, and the Berlin musicians are brilliant, bringing out their rhythmic vitality, contrapuntal ingenuity and exhilarating richness of colour.
Early Music Review, August 2013
This is a recording that I would certainly wish to keep in my collection.
BBC Music Magazine, September 2013
Compellingly rhythmical, though solo violin (No. 3) struggles under the weight of accompaniment.
